Dr. Anthony Cheung Bing-leung, who was the 2nd AAPA President in 2012, is currently a Secretary for Transport and Housing in the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of China. He was the President of the Hong Kong Institute of Education and Chair Professor of Public Administration until June 2012. Prior to 2008, he was a Professor in the Department of Public and Social Administration at the City University of Hong Kong in Hong Kong SAR of China.

Professor Ora-orn Poocharoen moved from the Lew Kwan Yew School of Public Policy to Chiang Mai University and she has been recently appointed as the Dean of the Faculty of Political Science and Public Administration (www.pol.cmu.ac.th) at Chiang Mai University (www.cmu.ac.th) in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

Professor Akira Nakamura (Professor Emeritus of Public Administration at Meiji University in Tokyo, Japan; the 1st AAPA President in 2010-2011) was inducted as an International Fellow of the [American] National Academy of Public Administration (NAPA) at the Doubletree Hotel in Crystal City, Virginia, USA on December 3, 2015.[American] NAPA (www.napawash.org) is an independent, non-profit, and non-partisan organization established in 1967 and it was chartered by the US Congress to provide non-partisan expert advice for the development of public service.

AAPA 2015 Local Organizing Committee Chair in Xi’an, Professor Jiannan Wu (吴建南) moved from Xi’an Jiaotong University (西安交通大学) to Shanghai Jiaotong University (SJTU) in 2015. He is currently teaching public administration in the School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) at Shanghai Jiaotong University (上海交通大学 国际与公共事务学院).

Ms. Maricel Fernandez-Carag, former secretary of the Local Organizing Committee for the 2014 AAPA Conference in Cebu, Philippines, is now working at the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in Doha, Qatar. She is currently engaging in a research project on Momentum of Education beyond 2015, with the aim of looking into the challenges and future prospects on education after the MDG 2015.

AAPA Members, Professors Sofian Effendi (Professor of Gadja Mada University) and Prijono Tjiptoherijanto (Professor of University of Indonesia) were appointed by the President of Indonesia as members of the Indonesian] Civil Service Commission (Komisi Aparatur Sipil Negara).
