Professor Pan Suk Kim was invited by the Indonesian Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (MENPAN) to deliver a speech in the Presidential Lecture 2019. Originally, Indonesian President Joko Widodo planned to be there, but he could not do due to other urgent matters. On behalf of him, Indonesian Vice President Jusuf Kalla attended and delivered the first speech, followed by Dr. Kim's speech entitled “Towards a World-Class Bureaucracy in a Digital Era” on July 24, 2019. In this event, 6,000 newly recruited government employees and 1,000 senior government officials (including ministers, vice ministers and foreign ambassadors) participated at the Jakarta stadium. After that, Dr. Kim has received a Certificate of Appreciation as an Inspiring Speaker in the Presidential Lecture 2019 from the Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform of the Republic of Indonesia on July 24, 2019.
